Overview
Cruise the West Coast of Scotland aboard Asante, a luxury 57ft Oyster sailing yacht. Join us for 7 nights as we take you to some of Scotland’s most iconic and remote distilleries. Wander at the beautiful islands which were formed 430 million years ago. On our 127 mile journey we will drop anchor in quiet secluded coves and by sleepy harbour villages. Gaze into the waters and watch for otters, bottle nose and common dolphin, common and grey seal, minkie whale and basking shark. Or look skyward to see puffin, gannets and white tailed sea eagles.

Saturday May 27th Join us at 4pm aboard Asante for welcome drinks and canapés. Settle in for your first night aboard.
Sunday 28th May After a hearty breakfast we will set sail for the Isle of Seil and the stunningly beautiful Puilladodhrain (pool of the otter) anchorage. A short dinghy ride to shore and we wander along a small path for less than half a mile to see The Clachan Bridge. Built in 1792, and though its span is only 72ft, due to its location it is also known as The Bridge over the Atlantic. With the historic Tigh an Truish Inn sitting just by why not start your whisky tour here.
Monday 29th May A full days sail ahead of us. We leave Seil behind passing the islands of Luing, Lunga and Scarab. The infamous Gulf of Corryvreckan will be well to starboard as we approach Jura and make our way to the anchorage of the Small Isle off Craighouse. It is from here that we can visit our first distillery drawing you in to savour its light peaty note with fruit and spicy overtones.
Tuesday 30st May We continue south leaving Jura behind and onward to Isla where in the afternoon we make our way in to Port Ellen. Whether we are at anchor or on the quayside this sheltered little town will welcome us. The Ardview Inn – the one and only pub on the island – has been recently refurbished under new ownership and once again will entice us in with promises of whiskies from islands further afield.
Wednesday 31st May A busy day ashore. With 9 active whisky distilleries on the island three are within walking distance of each other – Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig. But don’t miss out – the Islay Rum Company opened its door in 2022 so a sampling of this liquor too is a must.
Thursday 1st June Sails up again and its a 25 mile trip to the top of Islay where we drop anchor in Bunnahabhan Bay – so named after the distillery ashore. A quick dingy ride will afford us the last official tasting on your journey.
Friday 2nd June The final sail home to Oban. With views of the majestic Paps of Jura rising to 2,575ft to starboard we hope your memories of Scotland stay long and clear.
Saturday 3rd June A final farewell at 10am
