Overview

Join us in Cape Town as we prepare to make the 785 NM (4-6 day) passage north to Namibia.  A brief 3 – 4 days to recharge and explore then west to St Helena.  This tiny island lying 1215 NM west in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean is our next destination.  While you may know this as the island of Napoleon’s exile perhaps you may not know that this is home to Jonathan – the oldest living animal on earth.  This giant tortoise celebrated his 190th birthday in 2022.  We will spend several days on this far flung island with its ancient wrecks, giant stairways, grand forts, natural wonders and extraordinary walks.  Suitably refreshed we continue west for the 1900NM (11-15 days) passage to Salvador, Brazil.  With daily flights direct from Europe (London 1 stop) then this is an ideal place to say farewell.
